Supported platforms
Android TV and Google TV cover Sony Bravia, Nvidia Shield, TCL, Hisense, Chromecast with Google TV, Xiaomi Mi Box, and ONN boxes. Fire TV Stick Lite, 4K, 4K Max, and Fire TV Cube run SmartTube after you install the app with Downloader.
Samsung and LG smart TVs
Samsung Tizen and LG webOS do not run SmartTube APKs. Plug a Fire TV Stick or Chromecast with Google TV into HDMI, then install SmartTube on that device.
Chromecast models
Chromecast with Google TV (the remote model) installs SmartTube like any Android TV device. Older cast-only Chromecast dongles cannot install APK files.
Phones and desktop
Android phones and tablets are the easiest way to download the APK and send it to a TV. The app UI is built for television screens. iPhone, iPad, Windows, and macOS should use official YouTube or add an Android TV stick.
